Everyone knows that one of the most revered traditions in Gainesville is to head to The Swamp on a Gator game-day, and root for the home team. But, what happens when both teams on the field are the home team?

If that is the case, then there’s a good chance the season is Spring and you’re at the Orange and Blue Debut – a scrimmage meant to showcase some of Florida Gators Football’s talent. One “team” of Gators dresses in Blue, while the other dresses in Orange; they both face-off in front of a packed crowd in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

If you were not able to attend the event this past Friday, take a moment to enjoy some of the night’s highlights:

Many were excited for the Orange and Blue Debut simply because they were able to get a long-awaited taste of Gators; others, to get a glimpse of new quarterback Felipe Franks. And, while Franks and competing quarterback Kyle Trask did make some great plays during the game, the fans who waited until the game’s end were treated with true freshman quarterback Kadarius Toney’s surprisingly spectacular performance. His stunning plays dominated the end of the game’s highlight real (as seen above).

Scott Carter shared a great story by Alex Peterman on Toney’s performance:

Overall, the Orange and Blue Debut proved to be another fantastic evening in The Swamp. If you’re having Gator Football withdrawals, or did not get to experience it in person, be sure to watch this epic recap of the night provided by Gator Football.
